In Allen County:
Middle and high school girls report feeling sad and hopeless and had higher rates of contemplating suicide than boys.
Girls in grades 7-10 were more than twice as likely to have made a plan for suicide than boys.
More girls are committing status offenses—like truancy, running away and curfew violations.

The Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne is conducting a survey of women and girls in Allen County, ages 12-24. This public, community-wide survey will shape future initiatives.
