Women's Fund of Greater Fort Wayne Launches No Matter What Campaign

At a press conference on Tuesday, the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne announced the launch of No Matter What. No Matter What is a campaign to quickly, efficiently, and discreetly connect sexual violence survivors to up-to-date resources they need most. Because no matter what, survivors are worthy of community support.

The Women’s Fund is committed to systems-level change in three focus areas: young women and girls, economic security, and personal safety. From the research, it's known that 30% of women in Allen County have experienced some form of sexual violence: sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape, or other abuses.

One thing the Women's Fund has learned from community leaders is that there are amazing resources in Greater Fort Wayne for sexual violence survivors. The problem is that it is often unclear where a survivor should go for the specific type of help they are looking for.

"We need sexual violence survivors in our community to know they are worthy of easily accessible resources to support them in their time of need: no matter what," said Cassie Beer, Women's Fund Director.

In addition to the launch of the No Matter What Campaign, Women's Fund members will be delivering QR Code stickers to over 40 local businesses, libraries, fitness centers, restaurants, and bars that have agreed to place the stickers in their bathroom stalls. The stickers will link to the No Matter What website where survivors can find the resources they need.

If you have decision-making power for a public bathroom, use this link to sign up to have stickers delivered to you: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1WCJYt_yNroPNxRBA9ZLMzY6aoJrrsyXOllGm3pVvYrE/edit

We still have a long road ahead of us to eradicate sexual violence in our community, but connecting survivors to the resources they need is a great place to start. No matter what.

The Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne acts as a catalyst to strengthen our community. We mobilize resources and establish research informed priorities to close opportunity gaps for women and girls regardless of place, race and identity. We are driven to create systems-level change to positively affect women and girls throughout our community. Investing in women has a ripple effect, benefiting not just her family, but the greater community. The Women's Fund is an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.
